Product Overview
LuciOrfor contains the active ingredient Orforglipron, a novel, non-peptide GLP-1 receptor agonist designed as a convenient, once-daily oral tablet. It is indicated for chronic weight management in adults with obesity (BMI ≥ 30 kg/m²) or overweight (BMI ≥ 27 kg/m²) with at least one weight-related comorbid condition. The 5.5mg strength is part of LuciOrfor’s 6-grade gradient dosing system and serves as the stable metabolic adjustment dose.
Orforglipron works by mimicking a natural hormone (GLP-1) that regulates appetite, reduces hunger, and increases feelings of fullness, helping you eat less and lose weight. As a small-molecule oral GLP-1, it offers a needle-free, lifestyle-friendly alternative to injectable options.
Key Features & Benefits
Effective Weight Loss: Clinical trials demonstrate that orforglipron provides weight loss ranging from 5.1% to 11.1% depending on dosage. At the 5.5mg dose and above, 1 in 2 individuals lost 10% or more of their body weight.
Once-Daily Oral Pill: A simple, convenient tablet taken just once a day. No more daily injections or fear of needles.
Flexible Dosing: Can be taken at any time of day, with or without food. No need to plan your dose around meals, making it easier to fit into a busy lifestyle.
Gradient Dose Titration: The 6-grade dosing system (0.8mg → 2.5mg → 5.5mg → 9mg → 14.5mg → 17.2mg) allows the body to adapt gently, minimizing side effects while enhancing appetite control and metabolic stabilization.
Proven Safety Profile: The most common side effects are generally mild to moderate gastrointestinal symptoms (such as nausea, constipation, diarrhea), which typically diminish over time as your body adjusts.
Dosage and Administration
This product is LuciOrfor 5.5mg tablets. The recommended titration schedule is as follows:
Month 1 (Adaptation): Start with 0.8mg once daily. This phase allows for drug adaptation; mild gastrointestinal discomfort may occasionally occur.
Month 2 (Activation): Increase dose to 2.5mg once daily. Weight loss begins; gastrointestinal symptoms are generally mild and improve.
Month 3 (Adjustment): Increase dose to 5.5mg once daily. This is the lowest designated therapeutic dose for sustained weight management.
Further dose increases (to 9mg, 14.5mg, or up to the maximum of 17.2mg) may be made every 30 days based on individual tolerance and treatment response. Always follow your healthcare provider’s instructions regarding dosing.
Important Administration Guidelines:
Swallow tablets whole. Do not break, crush, or chew.
Do not take more than one tablet per day.
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double doses.
If you miss a dose for 7 or more days, consult your healthcare provider about how to restart treatment.
