Dosage and Administration

Maintenance Dose (Level 1): 5mg once weekly for at least 4 weeks

Thyroid C-Cell Tumors: Tirzepatide is contraindicated in patients with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) or in patients with Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2).

Pancreatitis: Discontinue use if severe abdominal pain is suspected.

Hypoglycemia: Concomitant use with insulin or sulfonylureas may increase the risk of hypoglycemia.
