Product Overview
LuciTirze contains the active ingredient Tirzepatide, a first-in-class, once-weekly dual agonist of the GIP (glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide) and GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1) receptors. It is indicated as an adjunct to a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity for:
Chronic weight management in adults with an initial BMI of ≥30 kg/m² (obesity), or ≥27 kg/m² (overweight) in the presence of at least one weight-related comorbid condition (e.g., hypertension, type 2 diabetes, dyslipidemia, obstructive sleep apnea).
Improving glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
The 2.5mg strength is the recommended starting dose for treatment initiation, allowing the body to gradually adapt to the medication.
Key Features & Benefits
Significant Weight Loss: Clinical trials demonstrate that tirzepatide enables many patients to achieve ≥20% weight loss. In the SURMOUNT-1 trial, participants taking tirzepatide 15mg achieved a mean weight loss of 20.9% (52.0 lbs) over 72 weeks. Weight loss is dose-dependent, with higher doses producing greater results.
Superior Efficacy: Tirzepatide has been shown to be more effective than GLP-1 receptor agonists (such as semaglutide) in both weight reduction and glycemic control.
Once-Weekly Dosing: A simple, convenient injection taken just once weekly. Can be administered any time of day, with or without meals.
Dual Mechanism of Action: Targets both GIP and GLP-1 receptors, working synergistically to reduce appetite, increase satiety, and improve insulin sensitivity.
Pre-Filled Syringe: Ready-to-use, single-dose syringe for easy and accurate self-administration.
Dosage and Administration
This product is LuciTirze 2.5mg/0.5mL injection, supplied as a single-dose pre-filled syringe.
Recommended Dosing Schedule:
Starting Dose: 2.5mg injected subcutaneously once weekly for 4 weeks. This dose is for treatment initiation and is not intended for therapeutic efficacy.
Dose Escalation: After 4 weeks, increase to 5mg once weekly.
Maintenance Doses: If additional glycemic control or weight loss is needed, increase the dosage in 2.5mg increments after at least 4 weeks on the current dose.
Maximum Dose: The maximum recommended dose is 15mg once weekly.
Important Administration Guidelines:
Administer as a subcutaneous injection in the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm.
Rotate injection sites with each dose to reduce irritation.
If a dose is missed, administer it as soon as possible within 4 days (96 hours) after the missed dose.
If more than 4 days have passed, skip the missed dose and administer the next dose on the regularly scheduled day.

Boxed Warning
Thyroid C-Cell Tumors: Tirzepatide is contraindicated in patients with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) or in patients with Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2).
Warnings and Precautions
Pancreatitis: Discontinue use if severe abdominal pain is suspected. Cases of pancreatitis have been reported.
Gallbladder Disease: Tirzepatide has been associated with an increased risk of acute gallbladder disease, including cholelithiasis and cholecystitis, likely related to rapid weight loss.
Severe Gastrointestinal Reactions: Use is not recommended in patients with severe gastroparesis or severe gastrointestinal disease.
Hypoglycemia: Concomitant use with insulin or sulfonylureas may increase the risk of hypoglycemia. Dosage adjustment of these agents may be necessary.
Acute Kidney Injury: Monitor renal function, especially during dose initiation and escalation, as gastrointestinal reactions may lead to dehydration.
Diabetic Retinopathy: Rapid improvement in glycemic control has been associated with transient worsening of diabetic retinopathy. Monitor patients with a history of diabetic retinopathy.
Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: May cause fetal harm. Discontinue if pregnancy is recognized. Breastfeeding is not recommended during treatment.
Drug Interactions: Concomitant use with another GLP-1 receptor agonist is not recommended. Tirzepatide may affect the absorption of oral medications due to delayed gastric emptying.
Common Side Effects
The most common adverse reactions (reported in ≥5% of patients) include nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, constipation, abdominal pain, dyspepsia, decreased appetite, and fatigue. Gastrointestinal side effects are typically mild to moderate and diminish over time as the body adjusts to the medication.
